Bartram Trail - Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob - July 15, 2008

This week was election day and lots of our regulars were working at the polls and did not hike. However, the hike took place with a nice group of 11 hikers. The hike was on the Bartram Trail from Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob. This hike is mostly on the Bartram Trail but the final climb to Pinnacle Knob is on a side trail. Hiking distance is almost 8 mi.

HIKERS - Phil Achey, Chuck Crisp, Greta Driggers, Alan Herrin, John King, Peter Muir, Vic Robson, Pom Sinnock, Bob Thompson, Ron Tudor, Lynne Saporito.

TRAIL INFO. - Excellent trail with nice waterfalls and great mountain views from Pinnacle Knob. Lots of elevation change makes it a moderately strenuous hike, especially in July.

Walk a short distance up the road and you will see the trail leading to the right. Follow the yellow trail markers.

Another great day for a hike!  Partly cloudy and hot! Temperatures ranged from the mid 70's to mid 80's F.
